G. Almy, Brown and Slater, 1793-1833
Scope and Contents
The Almy, Brown and Slater records (1793-1833) are the earliest in the collection. They document Samuel Slater's cotton manufacturing endeavors with partners Almy and Brown at Pawtucket, at Rehobeth (later North Providence) and at Smithfield (later Slatersville) in Rhode Island. The series contains six volumes: five daybooks and a ledger.
