Moore steps in again to introduce Dr. Otto Kernberg. Dr. Kernberg’s paper focuses on psychoanalytic understanding and applications of large group processes. The next section of the recording consists of audience members’ reactions to the panel and individual panelists. After this Dr. Shaprio, Dr. Arlo and Dr. Coulder give some final thoughts and responses. The moderator, Moore, gives some final thoughts concluding that the panel has done a good job exploring various aspects of group processes and making broad formulations but work still needs to be done in a number of areas including but not limited to: developing methodologies of examining group processes, exploring leadership and power problems, and finding commonalities that exist between various types of groups.
