Barlow, J. to Major Frend?, Nov. 22, 1813 Digital
Scope and Contents
Written from Dover, Barlow discusses the arrival and resupply of transport vessels, most likely supporting armed forces during the War of 1812, and the launch of the ship Derby. It is unclear if the ships were British or American. In September 1813 an American ship Derby, on return voyage from China, was reported as captured by a British privateer.
