Scope and Contents

One memorandum has a subject: "The 4x5 picture of Mr. Forester sent you yesterday." Adams writes about testing the 4x5 material and "Pathfinder E088". The correspondence includes two clasp folders titled "Photogravure Reproductions" that contain reproductions of Adams' Polaroid photographs by the Photogravure and Color Corporation of New York. He also writes about coating prints, materials for attaching prints to mounts, and the 4x5 back. The black and white test photographs include ones of the Coit Tower in San Francisco, author C.S. Forester, Nancy Newhall, trees near San Rafael, California, the Golden Gate Bridge area, a fisherman there named Henry Anderson, architecture, and a boat.
