The correspondence also includes a mention of interest on the part of Morgan and Lester, publishers of Adams' Basic Photo Series, in publishing a book on Polaroid. Adams also discusses factors influencing his observations on film that must be understood and agreed upon by those who interpret his feedback at Polaroid such as speed of the film and the camera settings, meter readings, and the zone system. Includes response of Time magazine about Polaroid's advertising inquiry. Also included is a letter on Adams' current thoughts on his Polaroid work and what his contributions going forward should be. He also discusses Polaroid advertising. The black and white test photographs depict gray scale tests, views from Telegraph Hill, Half Dome in Yosemite, architecture details, a salt refinery, the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco and ceramicist Mary Erckenbrack.
