Includes a printed 1740 indenture between the directors of the Manufactory Company of Boston, signed by Robert Auchmuty, Peter Chardon, William Stoddard, and others, completed in manuscript, to Eleazer Parsons of Gloucester, Massachusetts. There is also a 1786 trade card and bill of John Binns & Samuel Wood, dealers in English and foreign gold and silver coins and bullion

The Manufactory Company, also known as the Land Bank of 1740, proposed furnishing bills secured by mortgages on real estate. Its directors included Robert Auchmuty (1687-1750), Peter Chardon (1702 or 1703-1775), and Samuel Adams, Sr. (1689-1748), William Stoddard, Samuel Watts, John Choate, Thomas Cheever, George Leonard, and Robert Hale. The British Parliament dissolved the Land Bank in 1741.
