Scope and Contents
Contains numbered legal documents related to the capture and condemnation of George Dodge's and Israel Thorndike's cargo and the schooner Three Brothers in St. Lucia by English privateers, dated 1794-1797. Included are depositions related to insurance and an insurance policy, and a schedule of cargo and provisions on the ship when it was captured. There is also an account of sales of molasses and rum, in part cargo of the Three Brothers, which was shipped back to Boston on the sloop Industry and consigned to merchant Thomas Hancock.
