Scope and Contents
Contains letters and captain's orders from Stephen Gorham to Benjamin Parker about voyages of the brig Apollo to Great Britain and Europe, the threat posed by Algerines (Barbary cruisers), the sale of Gorham's merchandise, such as Indian corn, and return cargo of Russian sheeting, salt, tea, glass, hemp, and other goods. Other topics include potential sale of the brig, discharge of sailors, and payment of crew wages.
