Scope and Contents
Daybook of George Frost, Jr., in Northwood recording general store sales of fish, rum, molasses, tobacco, salt, and other commodities, as well as labor and legal services, dated January 18 to August 26, 1794. Names in the volume include Jonathan Fogg, Levi Mead, Colonel Samuel Osgood, John Sheafe, and Solomon Bickford. Colonel John Harvey, who boarded Frost, was credited for tending Frost's store for two days. Jonathan Clark and Sherburn Blake were paid for attending business regarding Frost's land in Chichester. Jacob Pickering was charged one Justices' writ in an action against Samuel Davis and other legal fees. Laid in to the volume is a note about Ezra Smith meeting with the Frost family to discuss marriage to one of their daughters.
