Contains correspondence from Philadelphia merchant Stephen Collins, administrator of the estate of William Barrell, to Jonathan Amory, dated 1778-1780. Letters relay news that about Barrell's brother was suing to remove Collins as administrator and discuss settling claims resulting from Barrell's trade partnership with Amory's & Taylor. Collins also references John Amory's refusal to pledge an oath of loyalty to the American states and the impact of depreciation on the value of the estate.
