Scope and Contents
This series contains orders, receipts, promissory notes, bills, invoices, and correspondence of Ebenezer Hancock (1741-1819) and his partner Edward Blanchard, dated 1763-1784, related to trade of fish, hardware, and other merchandise. Blanchard & Hancock failed in 1768, and associates subsequently sought to settle accounts current with the firm. See also Series III. Ebenezer Hancock papers, 1739-1831 (bulk 1757-1815).
