Subseries IID. Photographs and paintings, circa 1885-1937
Scope and Contents
This subseries contains photographs albums, individual photographs and paintings that were compiled by or that depict George F. Baker, Jr. Included are portrait photographs taken during his youth through his adult life; a photograph of Baker, Jr. sailing a small sailboat, circa 1890; and two studio portraits of Baker, Jr. taken in his Red Cross uniform, circa 1916. The bulk of this subseries consists of three groups of photographs: portrait photographs of Baker, Jr.'s Harvard College classmates, 1899, pictures taken on Baker Jr.'s American Red Cross trip to Italy, circa 1916 and photographs of Baker Jr.'s yacht, the Viking II, 1929-1930. Also included is a watercolor of the Viking and a large portrait painting of George F. Baker, Jr.
