Scope and Contents

Andrew Brimmer was a member of numerous organizations including the North American Economics and Finance Association, American Economics Association, Association for the Study of Afro-American Life and History, and the Westerfield Lecture Series. Included are annual meeting program materials, meeting minutes, lists of officers, and papers collected. Brimmer served as a board of director for major corporations including Bank of America, Smirnoff, Gannett, and the International Harvester Corporation. Material related to his work on the board of directors including meeting itineraries, minutes, correspondence, and photographs is located in this subseries. The records in this series were not in any particular order and scattered amongst the rest of Brimmer's papers.

This subseries of general files contains correspondence, computer printouts, audiocassette and audio tape reels, newspaper clippings, professional organization materials, research materials, and personal materials including birthday cards and invitations. The audiocassette and audio tape reels have been digitized and are available to listen to in the reading room.
