Contains handwritten drafts of advertisements for mercantile voyages; bills of exchange; and invoices and bills for goods shipped to Philadelphia, for wharfage, and labor. Included is an invoice for gin transported from Newburyport, Massachusetts, merchant and ship owner David Coffin aboard the brig Mary to Samuel Coates for consignment.
