Scope and Contents
Correspondence regarding Albert and Thomas Smith's shipping business, dated 1806 to 1814. There are also several letters from Massachusetts Representative Richard Cutts (1771-1845; Harvard AB 1790) in Washington, D.C., regarding a government appointment Albert Smith was apparently seeking. In addition there are undated fragments of correspondence, including a letter from George Jarvis referencing the potential return of a captured ship and a local election.
