Ships' papers and correspondence related to the voyages of the ship Argo, captained by Albert Smith, to Virginia, Falmouth, Lisbon, Portugal, and St. Petersburg, carrying flour and other commodities, dated 1796-1798. Included is a portage bill for crew on a voyage from Boston to Virginia and Europe, among them a cook named Cezer Whitmore.
