Otto Hermann Kahn; born Feb. 21, 1867, Mannheim, Germany; died March 29, 1934, New York, N.Y.; banker and partron of the arts; in 1888, sent to London branch of Berlin's Deutsche Bank; 1893 took a position with Speyer & Col., New York City; in 1897 he became a partner in Kuhn, Loeb & Co.; in 1903 he became a stockholder in the Metropolitan Opera in New York City; wrote many books on art, history, politics, and business; citations: Otto Hermann Kahn
