Catherine Screven Meredith Brown (1907-1998) was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She married John Mason Brown in 1933 and they had one son, Meredith Mason Brown (1940-2018), a lawyer and scholar. She is buried with her husband in Evergreen Cemetery, Stonington, Connecticut. Her son is also buried in the cemetery.

Handwritten letter from Emily [Emily Esther Sears] Lodge [Mrs. Henry Cabot Lodge, Jr.] to Mildred Bliss thanks her "a thousand times for a perfect Easter afternoon". She shall never forget that hillside covered with forsythia, and the stream with those beautiful willows, pale yellowish green, and then the primulas. Emily says "Please don't let this bore you too much, but I just had to tell you!" She thanks Mildred for the delight the daffodils gave them. The John Mason Browns [John Mason...
