Biography

Samuel Capen (1760-1843) was born November 20, 1760 in Canton (Norfolk County), Massachusetts. He was the son of Christopher Capen (1730-1809) and Abigail (Thayer) Capen (1733-1816) and brother of Jabez and Ephraim. According to the 1810 U.S. Decennial Census, Samuel Capen was a white man.
