Biography
Lockett Gwin Coleman, Sr. was born in 1877 in Macon, Georgia. He received a degree from Harvard Universiy in 1900 and began working for the Grand Trunk Railway under various positions. He later worked for the Delaware, Lackawanna, & Western and Rogers Locomotive Works. In 1902, he returned to the Grand Trunk Railway as trainmaster and later assistant superintendent. He died in 1962.
