Biography
G. [George] Frederick Coles was born in 1875 in England and became a naturalized citizen of the United States. He married Rosa E. Adams in 1900 and had a son, Mark F. and a daughter, Beatrice H. He was a decorative stone sculptor at Dumbarton Oaks, Washington, D.C., a private estate owned by Robert and Mildred Bliss and later donated to Harvard University. He died after 1940 as he is listed on the 1940 U.S. Census.
