Biography

Elizabeth Peet was born in New York City, March 26, 1874 and died June 29, 1961. She was an expert in sign language and a teacher of the deaf. She worked at Galludet College and was known as the "Kendall Green" mother. She retired in 1951. The residence hall was named after her which then became the Galludet University Press offices.

She states "I know the House for Incurables (The Home for the Incurables) will be materially benefitted by your kindness ...."
