Biography
Meroë Marston Morse was born in Waterville, Maine and graduated from Smith College in 1945. She began working for Polaroid shortly after graduation. In 1948 she was appointed director of the research laboratory and played a major role in the deveoplment of black and white photography. She was later appointed the director of the special photographic research division, a position she held until her death in 1969.
