Biography
Canadian-American organizational theorist; born March 31, 1934, Vancouver, British Columbia; earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Forestry in 1957 from the University of British Columbia and an M.B.A. in 1959 and D.B.A. in 1963 from Harvard Business School; started his academic career at the Harvard Business School in 1962, serving as dean from 1980 to 1995; made an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2013; died August 20, 2019, near Boston, Massachusetts
