Emmerton of Salem, Mass., in School and College, in Peace and War," containing letters, photographs, and ephemera documenting Emmerton's life and activities as a student at the Public Latin School (Boston, Massachusetts), Harvard College (Cambridge, Massachusetts), and Harvard Medical School (Boston), as well as his service as a soldier, surgeon, and veteran of the United States Civil War, 1861 to 1865.
