Biography

General store operated in Charlemont, Massachusetts by Amos Lawrence Avery and his son Oscar from 1890 to 1917 when Amos died. In 1927, Oscar's son Henry L. Avery joined the firm as a partner. The firm was run by the Avery family for five generations and sold in 2016. The firm's name changed to Avery General Store.
