Biography

The ship Elizabeth Wilson was owned by the counting house of John P. and Samuel Lord of Portsmouth, New Hampshire which was used to trade goods among ports in the Southern United States and Europe. Future Governor of New Hampshire, Ichabod Goodwin, learned the maritime trade aboard this vessel and ultimately was promoted to captain of the Elizabeth Wilson.
