She earned her PhD in 1977 at the Universite de Geneve in Geneva, Switzerland, and retired as Professor of Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education in 2013. These thirteen videocassettes document Duckworth's Harvard Graduate School of Education course T-150, Curriculum Based on Understanding.
