This research resulted in two 1951 publications in the Journal of Biological Chemistry, co-authored by Mueller and A. Baird Hastings: "The Rate of Transfer of Phosphorus Across the Red Blood Cell Membrane" and "Glycolysis and Phosphate Fractions of Red Blood Cells."
