The sketchbook describes and illustrates specimens collected when Henrietta Page was enrolled in 3-week long natural history classes held in Alstead, New Hampshire, the summers of 1902 and 1903. Other Massachusetts collecting localities include Peabody, Lynn, Manchester, Boston, Cohasset, Chestnut Hill, Waban, etc. The specimens described in the sketchbook and originally deposited in the Alstead School's fungarium are now part of the New York Botanical Garden's collections.
