Scope and content: The collection consists of 217 small watercolors of orchids from the Loddiges Nursery in London England. The paintings were created from 1844-1856 and feature orchids that were collected between 1804-1847. The scientific name, number, collection date, collection location, and illustration date are on the back of the mat.

Scope and content: The Greenwood papers comprise approximately 20 linear feet of correspondence, notes, lists, field journals, manuscript material, plant descriptions, illustrative matter, pressed plant material, photographs, slides, and stereoscopic images. Original order has been maintained. The bulk of the collection consists of files arranged alphabetically by genus and species. The collection contains over 3000 slides taken by Greenwood, primarily of orchids but also of landscapes and his travels.
