The Edward H. Kass papers, 1908-1990, are the result of the teaching, research and professional activities of Edward Harold Kass, William Ellery Channing Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Director of the Channing Laboratory at Boston City Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital, and a specialist in infectious diseases.
Collection consists primarily of recordings of the American Society for Prophylaxis in Obstetrics (ASPO)/Lamaze annual conference sessions and a few educational and instructional recordings.
The Marie C. McCormick papers, 1956-2016 (inclusive), 1968-2009 (bulk), are the product of McCormick’s research, teaching, administrative, and publishing activities during the course of her career. The papers are arranged in five series: I. Research Records, 1970-2016; II. Harvard School of Public Health Teaching and Administrative Records, 1985-2014; III. Writings and Publications, 1971-2013; and IV. Collected Printed Material, 1956-2005.
Collection includes administrative records and the web site for Lamaze International, an organization that educates women and men about pregnancy, the birth process, and teaches psychological practices and physical techniques to help women overcome pain in labor.
