The papers primarily consist of Bushnell and the Bushnell estate's correspondence with dealers, artists, museum professionals and other collectors; Bushnell's fieldnotes from his work with the Choctaw and archaeological expeditions; and, manuscript drafts and notes for his many publications.
Approximately 10,000 pages of notes by Stuart Davis, including observations on art theory, politics and social commentary, along with discussion and analysis of some of his paintings. Included are ca. 1,200 diagrams and drawings.
The Fanny Bowditch Katz papers, 1901-1934, consist of Katz's correspondence and papers relating to her psychoanalysis treatment by Carl Jung. The collection contains ten letters from Jung and twenty-six letters from neurologist James Jackson Putnam dating from the course of her treatment. Additional items include include Katz’s notebooks with notes from Jung and Alfred Adler’s lectures, and other personal records such as accounts of her fantasies, poems, drawings, and clippings.
Diaries, notebooks, correspondence, and artwork of gallery owner, artist, and antique dealer Celia T. Hubbard. Articles, posters, and publicity materials pertaining to the Botolph Group art gallery and to the artist Corita are also included.
