Consists of one bound notebook labeled "Anatomy Lectures" containing notes taken by Howard Yaffee while attending lectures in gross anatomy and neuroanatomy at Harvard Medical School between 1947 and 1948; lecture schedules are stapled at the front of the volume.
The John Denison Hartshorn papers, 1754-1786 (inclusive), undated, contain medical notes and patient cases recorded by John Denison Hartshorn (1736-1756) while he was apprenticed to Boston physician and apothecary shop owner Silvester Gardiner (1708-1786), in addition to poetry written by Hartshorn. There is also some correspondence and papers of other physicians and associates of Hartshorn and Gardiner.
The Maurice Howe Richardson papers, 1869-1913, document Richardson's career as Surgeon-in-Chief at Massachusetts General Hospital and as the Moseley Professor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School.
