The Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr. Addenda consists of items regarding Holmes’s life, family, and work, which were donated to the library by various parties after the primary collection of his papers was made available to the public. The collection includes correspondence, scrapbooks and diaries, clippings, reprints, and family papers dating to the mid-nineteenth century.
Contains legal papers of Manasseh Smith, Sr., Joseph Emerson Smith, Samuel Emerson Smith and other members of the Smith family who practiced law in midcoast Maine, Boston and Chicago from the late 18th century to the early late 19th century. Also contains papers relating to the real estate and paper mill business of Dudley W. Moor and Edward W. Heath.
Chiefly correspondence, biographical and family papers, together with drafts of writings, diaries, autographs, clippings, and memorabilia. The bulk of the collection is dated 1861-1935.
