Content Description: Consists of two scrapbooks created by Mary Searle Cummings representing her service as a nurse with the Harvard Unit in England and France during World War I. Scrapbooks include photographs, travel documents, greeting cards and other ephemera, newspapers and other print publications.
Scope and Contents: Consists of one photograph album depicting Massachusetts General Hospital nursing students and doctors in hospital and leisure settings. Photographs are snapshots likely taken by the album's creator. Images are labels with a mixture of proper names, nicknames, and commentary; several pages are embellished with ink sketches. One photograph labeled "The Seniors" indicates that the album was created by a student at the Massachusetts General Hospital Training School for Nurses.
