The papers of FetishDiva Midori include Midori's correspondence, writings, and advertising postcards featuring her workshops. Also included are advertising postcards, catalogs, flyers, business cards, calendars, and other printed materials targeting BDSM practitioners, advertising sex toys, educational events and workshops, clothing, and BDSM clubs and other lifestyle-friendly venues. The collection also contains several sex toys, including vibrators, a dildo, a tickler, latex hot pants, and a vulva mold kit. The majority of materials were grouped and foldered by the archivist. Folders created by Midori have been retained and appear in quotation marks. Files are arranged alphabetically.

BIOGRAPHY

Sexuality writer, speaker, artist, and sex educator FetishDiva Midori was born in Kyoto, Japan, raised in Tokyo until she was a teenager, when her family moved to the United States. She has a BA in psychology from the University of California, Berkeley, and has spent time as a professional dominant (retired 2001) and as an educator with San Francisco Sex Information. She writes on alternative sexual practices, including BDSM and sexual fetishism, including bondage, foot fetishism, Japanese bondage, and shoe fetishism. Her books include The Seductive Art of Japanese Bondage (with Craig Morey, 2001), The Family Jewels: A Guide to Male Genital Play and Torment (with Hardy Haberman, 2001), Wild Side Sex: The Book of Kink: Educational, Sensual, And Entertaining Essays (2005), The Toybag Guide to Foot and Shoe Worship (2005), and Master Han's Daughter: Tales from Depraved NeoTokyo (2005).
