Dorothy Elizabeth Hildreth was the only child of Stanley B. and Clara Hildreth. She lived most of her life in Harvard, Massachusetts, wintering in Cambridge. Hildreth graduated from Radcliffe in 1916, majoring in music, which remained a life-long interest. She was a patron of musci and supported the Boston Symphony Orchestra and the South End Musci Center, where she gave piano lessons from 1917 until 1924. After 1924 she taught piano privately. Hildreth was a volunteer at the Friends Clothing Center in Cambridge and was an active alumna, assisting her class secretary and serving as Class Agent 1929-1932. She died in 1980 after a long illness and was buried in Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge.
