This collection contains the research papers of Jean MacKenzie Pool during her employment as research associate for the Bunting Institute, 1964-1970. Included are interview transcripts, case studies for "Interviews with Sixteen Talented Educated Women," 1970, correspondence, and other articles. There are research plans for the Institute, 1965-1968 and related correspondence; also bibliographies, a research report by Alice Ryerson, former research associate of the Institute, and articles based on the Radcliffe/Mills Study of the Class of 1950.

Jean MacKenzie Pool, social psychologist, was hired by the Bunting Institute (then known as the Radcliffe Institute) to direct their research programs from 1964 to 1970. Her first project was to interview Institute fellows (1962-1964) to find out what effect their association with the Institute had had on their lives and careers. She wrote reports based on this study including, "Interviews with Sixteen Talented Educated Women" (1970). She also collected feedback from behavioral scientists concerning research needs on women's issues and wrote, "A Working paper on Research Ideas for the Radcliffe Institute," 1965 and other plans for research. She participated in the selection of fellows and in the Radcliffe/Mills College study of the class of 1950.
