Papers consist of diplomas, honorary awards and medals, ranging from A.B. Radcliffe College, 1902 to medal of Knight in the Royal Order of the Phoenix, Greece, in 1949, with citations in some cases.

Also some biographical material, notes from speeches, and letters with comments re: her book "The Saar Plebescite."

BIOGRAPHY

An instructor in history and government, and an expert in international affairs, Wambaugh was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of Eugene and Betty Wambaugh, and earned degrees from Radcliffe College (A.B. 1902, A.M. 1917). She was an advisor to the Peruvian government for the Tacna-Arica Plebiscite (1925-1926), to the Saar Plebiscite Commission (1934-35), to the American observers of the Greek national elections (1945-1946) and to the U.N. Plebiscite Commission to Jamma and Kashmir (1949), among others. She was also a consultant to the director of the enemy branch of the Foreign Economic Administration (1940-1945).
