BIOGRAPHY
Mary Ernst Archibald taught high school in Beverly (1902-1904, 1905-1908) and in Bridgewater (1904-1905) before her marriage to Warren Seymour Archibald, a clergyman, in 1908. She was an active church volunateer, especially as a teacher in the church school. She was at one time a director and secretary of the Hartford Orphan Asylum (now known as Childrens' Village in Hartford). As Director of the Lady Doak College of India Funds Corp., Archibald went to India in 1956 to dedicate "Archibald House" at the college. She was also Director and President of the Hartford branch of the McAll mission and a member of the Friday Morning Club of Hartford.
