3 VolumesEach scrapbook opens with clippings of newspaper articles about members and the organization, as well as programs, meeting announcements, and photographs. Following this introduction are samples of members' work and newspaper articles about them. Journalism is heavily represented, as well as poetry, writing on religious subjects, and stories for juveniles. Individual members have specialized in sketching or in writing about antique glass, travel, or theater.
HISTORY
The Wellesley Branch of the National League of American Pen Women was chartered April 7, 1952. It holds meetings at which members criticize one anothers' manuscripts, discuss problems in publishing their writings, or hear invited speakers.
