Two national gymnasiums built for the Tokyo Olympic Games of 1964. The larger gymnasium’s roof is comprised of main suspended cables anchored to the ground, and raised by two concrete pillars; secondary cables hang from the main cables and are tied to two reinforced concrete arch-like structures (bow-shaped in plan). Built.
