This collection presents a complete run of the exams presented by the Harvard Law School to its students from 1871 to 1995 . The Exams are part of the Red Set Collection held by Historical and Special Collections.
Among the admininistrative changes and educational reforms introduced under Christopher Langdell’s Deanship (1870-1895) was the publication of the School’s law examinations. At first these were published separately for use during the exams themselves. In 1878 the Law School began to compile and publish these examinations annually.
