Master of Arts, 1701-1795

Scope and Contents

This series contains nine Master of Arts diplomas from 1701 to 1795. In some cases, diplomas post date the graduate's degree date. Master of Arts degrees were usually received three years after the completion of a Bachelor of Arts. Included among the formats in this series are original diplomas, a wax diploma seal, and an eighteenth century diploma envelope.
