IV. Writings, 1958-1998, 1958-1998

Scope and content

This series consists of publications written by Teeter, illustrating his contributions to the field of linguistics.

Teeter retained multiple copies of his reprints, filing them in chronological order and numbering them according to an accompanying bibliography. The processing archivist retained two copies of each item. A set of reprints from 1958 to 1979 can be found in Series V. Professional Activities and Curriculum Vitae. Series IV. Writings contains the more complete set of reprints, from 1958 and 1998, as well as second copies of reprints from 1980 to 1998, and a few items that did not appear on the bibliography. This series also includes Teeter’s major publications on the Wiyot language; these are reflected on his bibliography but Teeter did not file them with the reprints. In addition to his published works, this series also contains notes for his A new introduction to the study of language, which was never published.
