Diaries, March 1900

Content of the Diaries

The diaries all cover the month of March 1900. Each author, however, determined the experiences that he or she recorded. Thus, some diaries are scrupulous day-by-day accounts of normal activities while others are hit-or-miss records of events that the author considered to be notable. Still others are widely-ranging records of the authors' thoughts on politics, social justice, or the future. Many authors included additions of posters, photographs or ephemera.
