Historical note
Founded as a separate organization in 1858, the Harvard Glee Club was first organized in 1833 as part of the Pierian Sodality. Until 1918, the Glee Club, along with the Banjo Club and the Mandolin Club, was under one management, known as the Harvard Musical Clubs.
