Elliott Perkins earned his Harvard A.B. in 1923 and Harvard Ph.D. in 1936. He taught history at Harvard from 1937 to 1969 and served as Master of Lowell House from 1940 to 1963. The collection consists primarily of correspondence documenting Perkins' professional and personal life.
