Harvey Lincoln Wheelock earned his Harvard A.B. in 1896 and took these photographs of the Harvard campus ca. 1897.
Evidence within the images shows that some views were shot before, and some after, the installation of the Memorial Hall clock tower in 1897. All views were shot before 1912, when Gore Hall was demolished.

The images are arranged by size. In the list below, the existence of a contact print is noted.
Custodial Information
The 34 glass negatives were given to the Harvard College Library on March 20, 1928. In October 2000, they were found in a vault in Widener Library and given to the University Archives. The Harvard College Library Imaging Services' Photographic Studio made contact prints from 18 of the negatives in January 2001.

Containers and storage
The negatives are stored in five boxes. Boxes 1-4 are upright boxes; box 5, which holds broken negatives, is a flat folio box. The prints are stored in a pamphlet folder.
